The School
Ambarvale High School is a dynamic local high school with a focus on quality teaching and learning, and student achievement serving the communities of Rosemeadow, St Helens Park and Appin.
The Project
Students at Ambarvale High School will explore the ways one voice can change the world through poetry. In workshops with celebrated poet Eunice Andrada, the students will dive into unique individual and group activities in the aim of creating their own performance pieces.
Ambarvale High School will be hosting a Protest Poetry Performance for the public. Friends, family, and local community are invited to attend.

The Poet
Eunice Andrada is a poet and educator. Her debut poetry collection Flood Damages (2018) won the Anne Elder Award and was shortlisted for the Victorian Premier's Literary Award for Poetry and the Dame Mary Gilmore Award. She has performed her poetry on diverse international stages, from the UN Climate Summit in Paris to the Sydney Opera House. Her ecopoetry has been recognised through the awarding of a residency and fellowship presented byAustralian Poetry and Nature Art and Habitat Residency (NAHR). She lives and writes on unceded Gadigal Land.
