Poetic residencies to support poets in further developing their practice in new ways.

As part of Poetry Month, Red Room Poetry is proud to present the pilot Poets in Residence (PIR) program, supported by City of Sydney (COS).

Open to all NSW residents and taking place during August 2021, two selected PIR will be engaged at Green Square Library for a period of writing, reading and performing poetry on site, engaging the general public in various ways and showcasing COS library collections.

The two selected 2021 COS PIR will each receive:

  • $4000 poetic stipend for 4 x days in residence
  • online publication by Red Room Poetry of 4 x poems created during the residence
  • support on-site by Red Room Poetry producers

To apply to be one of this year’s COS PIR please:

  • read the Guidelines
  • submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) by 30 June
