I go outside to see the majestic kookaburra, perched on a gumtree branch. Its beautiful eyes, blacker than midnight stare right into my soul. All the noise circling the house, yelling, clomping, and laughing. The kookaburra is unfazed by it. It is always calm and careful, observing and analysing its environment. After a few minutes, the kookaburra bursts out with laughter. The entire background is soon erupting with laughter, like a hyena, thriving in the wastelands. I can smell all the dirt and grass, the trees, and plants. Their fresh scent is following a trail into my nose. The kookaburra’s large beak is gleaming in the sunlight. The kookaburra moves around, curious. Trying to explore this new land, suddenly it flies away. Its wings moving graciously across the sky. I can’t wait for the kookaburra to return.
