The Prison Of Time

Soft violet splashes,
strikes of smoke resting upon clouds of fog
Trapped within a cage of flawless quartz
lunettes tapering into apexes sharp as arrows.
Wisteria blooms
Slashes of storm
White clouds like wings of a fallen swan
Never to escape the prison of time.
Iridescent flashes go as soon as they come, like lightning
Inner shatters beautiful imperfection,
Sparkling like comets
A frozen tear, fallen from the eyes of the Earth.
Lilac tranquility,
Whirlpools of lavender
Slowly lulling the eyes of those who gaze upon it into a trance
A glittering reminder of peace
A crystal as cold to the touch as your heart:
Reflections of the soul.
