When winter comes to town

The air is cold and crisp as the wind howls through the trees.

The fire crackles and burns as people rug up in blankets with movies.

Sips of hot cocoa through the cold winter days.

Porridge and hot glasses of milk with beanies, gloves and blanket caves.

People shiver on the way to work as the breeze scrapes across their skin.

Heaters are blasted on full heat and the windows are shut so the winter won't get in.

Ice drips down my window as the snow outside rains down.

The snow pours and falls, blanketing the entire town.

Ugg boots and oodies keeping people warm.

Then through the night comes the winter storm.

The wind screams and howls as the house shakes.

Possums scurry along the roof and hide away.

Hot breakfast and coffee when morning rolls around.

That's what happens when winter comes to town.
