Where the sea meets the sand

Blue water, crystal clear like glass,
A kaleidoscope of minuscule fish swimming around,
Getting out of the water after having a blast,
Stepping in a blanket of green seaweed,
Digging my feet into the gold gritty sand
I run around and collect seashells to put on my sandcastle,
It's a sunny beautiful day to go out and play,
I never want to leave, can't I just stay,
From a far distance I see a dolphin,
And a turtle swimming in the waves
Seagulls soaring swiftly through the blue sky,
Kids running through the sand laughing and splashing,
Sand gripping their hands, feet, and even their hair,
I pack up the car as the sun drifts away,
Even though I forever want to stay,
And I would continue to play
