Join prize-winning performance poet and educator Sarah Temporal in a space for late blooming poets to form new words.

This introductory workshop invites all older emerging voices to explore the writing and performance craft of live poetry. Create and share your own poem in a supportive online environment, with innovative techniques derived from the dynamic form of spoken-word. Led by award-winning poet and educator Sarah Temporal, workshop facilitator for Gran Slam 2020 and founder of Poets Out Loud.

About our host
Sarah Temporal is a prize-winning performance poet, writer and educator. Her work has been published in the Australian Poetry Anthology and was Highly Commended in the XYZ Prize for Innovation in Spoken Word. Sarah runs Poets Out Loud, a community arts initiative based in the Northern Rivers NSW, and is currently developing her debut poetry collection.

Do I need to turn my video on?
We'd love to see your faces to make this a more interactive session. However, you are more than welcome to turn off your video if you prefer!

Will my microphone be on?
Your microphone will be muted on joining the workshop, but you can use the live chat feature to communicate with Eunice and the other participants during the session.

Can I ask questions throughout?
There will be opportunities to ask questions throughout the session via the live chat. Your mic may also be unmuted from time-to-time if you wish to speak.
