AVANT GAGA and the Poetry Night at Sappho Books is a monthly poetry reading series at the famous Sappho Books Cafe & Wine Barin Glebe NSW. The event has become a Sydney institution for live poetry because of its diverse selection of established and emerging poets, from Sydney, interstate and internationally.
On the second Tuesday of August, and as part of Red Room's Poetry Month 2023, AVANT GAGA #61 will feature poets Luke Beesley, Fatimah Asghar, Jane Gibian, ZHI, and Monique Lyle, plus an open mic section to close the event.
Entry is FREE, as ever, with drinks and tapas available for purchase at the bar.
