Srsly?! Comedy and Poetry with Vidya Rajan
About this event
Celebrate Poetry Month 2021 with a workshop led by comedian, poet and multidisciplinary artist Vidya Rajan.
In this workshop, we'll look at some crossovers between writing poetry and writing comedy including the rhythms of humour, satirical politics and point of view, absurdist impulses and how the poet's performing body can fit into it all. We'll also look at the internet and inter-art spaces as platforms where these artforms can cross-pollinate and challenge each other. We'll probably do some silly little exercises along the way too.
Presented in partnership with EVERYBODY NOW!
