Workshop, Online
In the lead-up to our Accessible Online Open Mic, join queercrip doctor of history, writer, teacher, and multidisciplinary artist Robin M Eames for a creative writing workshop designed to support and celebrate disabled voices in poetry.
This workshop is an inclusive space for disabled writers to explore the power of poetry to express, connect, and resist. Together, we’ll read poems, write from prompts, and reflect on how our lived experiences shape language, voice, and form.
Whether you’re a seasoned poet or just beginning, this is a chance to generate new work in a supportive environment, and prepare a poem to share at the open mic (if you’d like to!). Bring your voice, your questions, and whatever access tools you need - we’ll meet you there.
Note: Auto-live captioning can be enabled in Zoom and text-based poems via chat are welcomed on the night too. Please feel free to contact us if you have any accessibility queries for this event via access@redroompoetry.org
