Contains Strong Language Roundup
Contains Strong Language: Watch & Listen
Poetry Month 2024 wrapped up by bringing the much-loved UK poetry and spoken word festival, Contains Strong Language, making its debut in Australia. Celebrating Australia’s poetic talent on an unprecedented scale, this event was made possible thanks to our partnership with the BBC and ABC.
From 28-31 August, the BBC and ABC, in collaboration with Red Room Poetry, captured and shared Australian poetry with audiences across the UK (5 million listeners) and over 200 countries worldwide (estimated 80 million listeners).
Live performances, broadcasts, talks and workshops took place at iconic venues across Sydney including the State Library of NSW, the Art Gallery of NSW, Sydney Theatre Company, and Riverside Theatre Parramatta.
