R.A. Briggs was born in Syracuse, NY, and spent 10 years in Australia (split between Brisbane, Sydney, and Canberra).  They moved back to the US in 2015 to teach philosophy at Stanford University.  They have published two books of poetry: Free Logic (University of Queensland Press) and Common Sexual Fantasies, Ruined (Cordite Press), as well as an illustrated zine Modern American Gods (in collaboration with Anna Zusman). Their performances have been featured at a wide variety of venues in Brisbane, including the Queensland Poetry Festival, and their poems have appeared in such venues as RattleArcCordite, and The Weekend Australian.  When not writing poetry, they are usually cuddling their dog Blossom.
