Alison J Barton

Alison J Barton is a Wiradjuri poet widely published in Australian & international literary journals. She was the inaugural winner of the First Nations Cambridge University Writer-in-Residence Fellowship, 2023. In 2022 her poetry was recognised in the Queensland Poetry Oodgeroo Noonuccal Poetry Prize and numerous other prizes. Her work appeared in Best of Australian Poems 2022 and she won places in three Varuna House fellowships. Alison’s first full-length collection of poetry, Not Telling, will be published with Puncher & Wattmann in December 2023.
