Andrew Sutherland

Andrew Sutherland (he/they) is a Queer Poz (PLHIV) writer and performance-maker currently based on the unceded lands of the Kulin nation. They are the author of two collection of poetry, Paradise (point of transmission) and Act Cute, published with Fremantle Press in 2022 and 2025. His publication history includes Westerly, Best of Australian Poems, Australian Poetry Journal, Cordite, Island, and EXHALE: an anthology of Queer voices from Singapore. As a theatre practitioner, Andrew has contributed to the creation of dozens of new works between Boorloo (Perth), Singapore, and Naarm (Melbourne).
