Dave Jordan

 Dave Jordan spent 25 years in the Navy commanding the Frigate HMAS WARRAMUNGA, the Sail Training Ship YOUNG ENDEAVOUR and the Patrol Boat HMAS BENDIGO. It was in this later role that he spent considerable time patrolling Australia's northern waters. The Poem titled 'On Patrol, 1999' was inspired by true events during his command of BENDIGO.

Dave is married to his lovely wife Louise Walsh and they reside in Sydney. Now working in the IT sector, Dave keeps his connections with the sea alive through his passion for yacht racing and of course poetry. He took an active part in assisting the Red Room Company with their very successful project Sea Things.
