Dorothy Porter

Dorothy Porter pioneered the modern verse novel with her award winning modern classic, The Monkey’s Mask. Her other verse novels include Akhenaten, Wild Surmise and El Dorado, all of which garnered major awards. She published several collections of poetry, wrote lyrics for Tim Finn and libretti for the composer Jonathan Mills. Dorothy Porter died in 2008.
