Laura Panopoulos

Laura Panopoulos moved to nipaluna/Hobart six years ago from Canada and finally feels tethered to a place among like-minded, whimsical folks, and friends. She is currently working on a multi-disciplinary art project titled “My Benefactors of Laughter,” which she workshopped at the Performing Lines Artist Residency in 2023. She has been published in Occasus Literary Journal, Bareknuckle Poet: Journal of Letters, and Literary Orphans. Most of her poetry, however, has been showcased orally at events such as Huon Valley Storyteller’s Cup, Femfest, Australian Poetry Slam State Finals, Ten Days on the Island, Party in the Paddock, and Red Room Poetry’s Tasmanian Showcase. Laura facilitates and hosts Silver Words Poetry, a place for supportive sharing of stories and poetry.
