THE WORD: MELANCHOLY

I went to the races but the races were slow
I forgot to eat
I was thin and near a lake
I had to look for a phrase on the tree
I spent some time deciding wintermelon
Or watermelon
(I could find no rockmelon)
I could feel my brain working it out like cooking sausages
Eventually I was able to make a small fire and a hot dog
It was a good bun
Like insulation we put in our house no more than a day ago
I was on the roof
The suburb was busy
My neighbour pulled a cauliflower out of the earth and started eating it
My neighbour was rude
I fell off the roof or just got down and went inside and looked in the crisper
I went inside and looked in the crisper
I just looked in the crisper
In the crisper
