Poems are the living.

And to me, writing poetry feels like sending letters across the lamina. To a reader, but also something older. Across Always-Time.

It is in this way, that poetry is shared ceremony ground.

We enter into a circle, when you read a poem. Something like what is happening right now. Threads are woven across the space in between; we become connected through your sense making, and mine.

Lines and circles.

Perhaps poetry is not just the word.

Perhaps we are all, a songline.
