Mahalia Charlotte

Mahalia Charlotte grew up in Wollongong by the sea on Dharawal land. Now, she is a poet living in the Northern Territory on Jawoyn, Dagoman and Wardaman lands with her partner and 3 cats. In her spare time, she writes about women - how they survive and live in this world. In 2025, her love of poetry was reinvigorated – leading to her winning the 2025 Katherine Slam Poetry Heat and being a Top End Finalist. She was also chosen as part of Red Room’s 30in30 commissioned works.
