Mick O'Brien

Mick O’Brien is married with four children: Daniel, 12, Callen, 10, Brinley, 6 and Montana, nearly 4.  He and his wife Kim own and run Whiskey Ridge Haulage. They run two trucks, a K104 Kenworth pulling a B-double and a T601 Kenworth with a single trailer. Both trucks run the Melbourne-Sydney corridor. Mick’s been driving for almost 23 years and his writing, developed from many lonely hours in trucks at night, is inspired by Kim, the passing countryside, or a sad song playing on the radio.
