moirra. is the pseudonym of Rémy Cohen, a Yorta Yorta, Boonwurrung, and Jewish transsexual self-taught writer, poet and artist currently living in Naarm. Blak queerness is central to all of their work, focusing particularly on connection to culture, community, and Country, along with their passion for decolonial storytelling and challenging settler-colonial narratives. Xer writing examines the relationship between queer and trans peoples, our families and communities, and the wider society and environment we live within, and aims to pick apart the multi-faceted, intersectional, incredibly complex, sometimes contradictory, and often highly politicised experiences and lives we have as marginalised peoples.
