Sara Mansour is a practising lawyer, writer and the co-founder and director of Bankstown Poetry Slam (BPS), Australia's largest regular poetry slam. Founded in February 2013, BPS has received national recognition for its award winning events and programs, including by winning the  Special Award at this year’s Premier’s Literary Awards.

In 2022, Sara programmed and directed Muslim Agenda, Australia's first Muslim Women's festival and Brave New Word, a poetry festival for youth. The poetry festival culminated in Australia's first National Youth Poetry Slam. This year, Sara was appointed as Chair of the Create NSW Artist Advisory Panel to assist in the development of the state’s first arts and culture policy and was named as a top 4 finalist for the 2024 Young Australian of the Year Awards.
