cup a hand
skin and bone
this water well
a beating heart
of molecules life
one two three
thousand years
twice daily rises
to gently fall again
flow stories asking
who are we
within this world
let water run
circle settle be
sun of arctic water
moving slowly south
sleeping ebbing rising
upwelling loops of life
seconds centimetres
patience slowly spirit
your beauty and humility
shape shift onward
through air and bodies
entwined with other waters
in plants in soil in country
from pregnant clouds
rain on my roof
to birth my love
