Virginia Jealous’s writing includes travel journalism, essays and poetry. She’s written many guidebooks for Lonely Planet and travel articles for the Weekend Australian, her poetry appears in a range of publications and she's been invited to present work at arts festivals in Australia, Singapore and India. Her long-term obsession is with the extraordinary poet Laurence Hope – aka Adela Florence (Violet) Nicolson – who died in Madras in 1904. A performance of Virginia’s work-in-progress about Hope, Rapture’s Roadway, premiered at the Festival of Voice in Denmark WA, in 2015.

Her latest publication, Rapture's Roadway is forthcoming in February 2019 (Ventura).
