[When my laugh is not my choice]

وقتی که نیست خنده‌ی من، اختیار من

کی زندگی بیاید از این پس به کار من؟

تفسیر شادکادمی اگر هست جرم تن

افزون کن و شُمار به قدرِ قمار من

لب‌خندهای باغ دلم را ربودی و

دیگر نظر نکن به گل قندهار من

باشد بگیر جان مرا، لیک لا اقل

بی‌حرمتی نکن به وجود نزار من

جز پاره‌های یأس مگر داده‌ای به کس

هرگز نکن مقایسه با ابتکار من

سیلی زدی، به‌دار کشیدی؛ ولی بدان

سهم تو نیست کشتن این افتخار من

When my laugh is not my choice 

When will life be necessary for me?

Interpretation of happiness if it is a crime of body 

Increase and count as much as my gamble 

You stole the smiles of my heart garden and 

Don't look further to my Kandahar flower 

Take my soul, but at least 

Do not disrespect my existence 

Did you give anyone anything but pieces of despair?  

Never compare with my initiative 

You slapped, you executed; But know 

It's not your right to kill me with pride
