Down near the river I lay

This beautiful sight, it’s worth it to pay

Even though you could hear the sheep groaning

It’s still so beautiful, I’m not complaining

Even the breeze is nice

I would even say it twice

The life around, it feels great

It wouldn’t hurt if it was late

The urban life isn’t around here

Making noise, hurting my ears

It’s only agriculture, it really is

It’s here in Cornwallis

The water flow, it calms me down

It doesn’t hurt, or make any bad sound

As I get up, it hurts to leave

This beautiful view, I now have seen

As I get up and say goodbye

I know I would come again, at another time.
