A Token

It may not seem to be something of importance
Just a stone with no purpose
Perhaps it will not even catch your glance
But to me this blue stone is a symbol of divergence
A symbol of hope and family
A token which shows you can be anything
You may even defy gravity
Wrapped in a dark cord it hangs
Around my neck it lies lazily
With flecks of black it shows the darkness of the world
But the blue shows the ways greatness can be earned
When the world feels like a hell and I am submerged
I hold this necklace and it helps me break free undeterred
It brings back memories long forgotten
But makes sure the future is never rotten
As it brings luck to me when I need it most
But is sure to never be overdosed
As there must be a balance
Because even in the worst circumstance
The world will have peace, whether you like it or not
