Falling trees and flying fire

But the flame will never tire

Endless soot and smokey haze

People try to control the blaze

Deers bound away

They run away to their happy place

Where all their family is warm and safe

But when they wake up, the fire is there

Almost touching their sooty hair there tired of running they all collapse then a truck comes and picks them up they put them in soft warm mats then they drive away from this dreadful day

He lets them go into the wild with the ferns and fronds and the spindly branches

Yes it's new and yes it's changed but it is home

And they’re there to stay

A year later it's all green but it is burnt. Yes it is bruised through the fire the seedling has snoozed and now it has hatched all fresh and new ready to take on life.
