The wings of the deadly drought stretched,

Making barriers that caused distress,

Spread across the vast terrain,

Where carcass, drained crops, no sight of rain,

Cracked, unswept, crumbling floors,

Ready to melt,

This hungry bird was asking for more,

Depression infects the valley,

We have all lost hope in humanity,

Stail drained crops crying for water,

Bone-dry gums are fiery, feverish, roasting on the oven,

Skin to the bone, all exhausted waiting for the time when they're slaughtered

The drought was sucking all life out of every living thing.
