The oasis was a relief from the barren land
Fine as flour was the sand
The mountains were jagged like broken glass
It was so dry it was bare of grass
Many pebbles lay scattered all round
It looked like gravel on the ground
The mountains were steep as the face of a cliff
The sand blew down as though it was mist
The water was a mirror, reflecting the trees
Such beauty, I cannot believe
The oasis remains waiting for those needing help
It is a pearl hidden amongst the sea kelp
Its bounties remain unknown to those who do not see
The oasis is a blessing to me.
