Swerving and gliding,
Throughout the casuarina trees.
Searching and flying,
A shadow among undulating leaves.

Screeching through silence,
Shattering the serenity.
Like a chainsaw in compliance,
Annihilating the territory.

Seldom eating seeds,
Casuarina trees are falling.
Beady eyes glaring,
Ever empty, ever starving.

A tortured, suffering, endangered species.
