Green, Red, Blue and Black

Green is everywhere
Even in places one does not see
Growing to share
All balanced, even the smallest pea.
Fire engulfs the innocent
Turns vibrance to char
Can cause great consequence
Can heal, but creates scars.
Blue is the lakes, sea and rivers
It fills the sky with hope and calm
Giving those who live in its depths dinner
But it is deceptive and inflicts harm
Black swallows each living thing one by one
From the black crow to the twigs on the tree
Can get you even when under the safety of the sun
To return you to the earth to be free.
