I’m the life in every heartbeat,
I’m the bringer of air.
But you must help to save me,
Refuse if you dare.

I need your help to save me,
From fire as hot as the sun,
Chainsaws as sharp as teeth,
Axes as deadly as a gun.

Bugs as hungry as starved lions,
They even attack the trees.
I have survived many horrors in
My life but the scariest one
Is surprising for you,
Look in the mirror and you'll see it too.

I am holding together your strands of life,
But if you let the humble leaf die,
You will too, for our fates are entwined.
