Mighty George

The little leadbeater is not a glider but can climb a tree like a spider
He is not a biter, he is one of the more mightier
We are nowhere near becoming an insider
Their numbers left are unknown
For that he is cold as a stone
Left alone by his friends
The stars will be able to guide him
Little leadbeater possum I will commend
His bravery tough as metal, soft like a squishy teddy
We need to defend this little leadbeater possum
The whispering wind wanders through the tall gum trees the wind is ready
To pick him up and float him away like a light pink blossom
He will act like you can’t see him like he is as clear as a bubble
He will never ever hit rock bottom
That wonderful little leadbeater possum
So remember finding him is an awful trouble
For the amount left of him is unknown
For that he is as cold as a stone
George the leadbeater's story is not that well known
But when his tree was cut down he lost his life and home
