Given to me the second I was born,
The bear whose big brown eyes contain dozens of memories,
The bear that travelled to all the places I ventured,
The bear whose ribbon was lost and found many times,
The bear I cried into when times were tough,
The bear who climbed trees with me,
The bear I spent ages doing craft with,
The bear I clung onto at night when I was afraid,
The bear that restored my faith,
The bear that is tattered and worn with love,
My bear.
With so many untold stories contained in your stuffing,
So much meaning behind your neatly stitched nose,
All those hours spent together contained in that blue ribbon on your neck,
So many emotions in that small stitched smile,
Memory flashbacks whenever I hold you,
Limp and worn but loved and cared for,
Years of affection and devotion,
You are and forever will be,
My bear.
