My Dog

I sit on the couch watching tv
When my mum comes down with a big frown
She tells me to get of my butt and take the dog to the dog beach
So I lazily lunge myself towards the door
I grab the lead and try to put it on her… she gets away
I try to hold her down and put it on her… she gets away
I try one more time bringing in the big guns this time
Thump thump my dad arrives
He gets it on her now and I am ready for my adventure
She pulls and pulls with her little white tail wagging
We arrive, splash splish
I see a suspicious smile
No question needed
I could smell it from a mile away
As I go to clean it up a sun set forms
I never realized how beautiful nature was
And now if mankind doesn’t do something nature is doomed!
