A cuddly figure, always on my side
Who listened when no-one else would
He sits upon his pillow throne
A heartwarming smile upon is face

Made in Tassie land
Way out in the coastal band
Of Aussie where I live,
This land is what I give

A symbol of my youth,
The days where life was young.
My life was peaceful and simple,
And my bear was always beside me.

When my dad was sent to the slaughter,
I held on tight to the only symbol of his love.
And in times of distress,
His love brought me comfort.

Now, the bear lies unattended,
As my father returns from battle,
Waiting for the day
Where I will need him again.
