My nest ones home now prison

Can’t
Move
My body stiff
Where is my family?
Longing
Water
Longing
Food
l can’t fly
l feel like
Nothing
As l watch
The leaves fall like
Ballerinas swirling through the sky
Smoke drifting through the air
Fire merges up my tree; a virus spreading
l am not safe here
I must get out
My nest once home, now prison.
