Mystery in the Dark

My hand can feel something – something small
It’s rounded and smooth, like a rubber ball.
But running along the side is strip of roughness
A part of the peace that’s filled with toughness.
There could be nothing stranger than it –
It’s like the equator is torn from our planet
Finally, the lights are on, I can see what it is!
It’s amazing, it’s phenomenal, it’s – oh.
It’s a baseball.
