A stone
not just an ordinary
stone
a special stone that goes
by the name
opal.
The opal is
my birthstone
so bright
full of colour
silky smooth.
it has a light
and dark blue
when I see
and feel it.
it reminds me of
the time
i had with
my mum
in the blue
mountains
oh opal.
