Rockpool

Sunlight shimmering on a rockpool as washing waves flow,
Sitting on ragged rocks looking at the little things below
Touching smooth pebbles with my little hands,
Looking for shells between my fingers by sifting sand
My body feels warm because of the shining sun
Skipping rocks on the water is really fun!
I shake and shiver when cold water splashes on me
A baby fish scurries around my kneeling knees
Seagulls squawk while flying in the breeze
The red sunset glows between dark clouds on the edge of the sea
It’s home time, my mum and dad are calling me
