Save The Numbats

Numbats burrow to be safe at night,
Their lives are full of danger and fright,
They do not have a good chance to thrive,
With less than 1000 left alive.
Their fur is brown with black and white stripes,
Their diet consists of termites,
They are not the biggest, they are small,
At roughly 40 centimetres tall.
All these threats they must avoid,
Their habitat is being destroyed,
They are hunted by foxes and cats,
Why the Numbats? Go hunt some rats.
Their numbers are at an alarming rate,
We need to save them before it is too late,
Please help to save the numbats now,
We just need to find out how.
