The Perfect Evening

As I lay there under the beautiful tree

I think to myself what a wonderful life I have

I hear a boat woosh by me as it drives down the river

The gust of wind from the boat sends my hair wild

I love the feeling of the wind in my hair

This to me is what makes a perfect evening under a tree 

As I watch the beautiful sunset

I ponder about what an evening this is

I could sit here forever and marvel over the sunset forever

As I doze off under the tree 

I thank everyone and everything in my life 

For letting me have this beautiful moment.
