The Singer

I blew the candle and I made a wish.
My eyes filled as I thanked my cousins.
For the shimmering circular object.
This could not have been better.
I would now gaze in the distance as the music.
Floated through my ears.
I pictured myself wiser and more mature.
Presenting my no’1 fan with that object.
Still, that passion would always stay with me.
Wherever I may live or may be pushing up daisies.
It was worth more than a hundred dazzling diamonds.
And it was as beautiful as Vivaldi’s four seasons.
As colourful as a sunset.
The taste of freedom rushing through my blood.
It was shimmering, silver, smooth, special and supernatural.
This object was the key to relaxation and joy.
As I hold it, I would see it wink at me and I would wink back.
This shimmering circular object will always light me up.
And inspire me to compose whatever I want.
Thanks Delta!
