Under the Deep

Surrounded by people,
So alone,
Face withering,
Pressure compresses my depressed heart,
Wrinkles line my face,
Motionless and expressionless,
Mind filled with sadness,
Deformed,
Eroding under the deep,
Eyes sealed, crusting,
Crumbling,
Light shimmers through the clear blue water,
A spotlight,
Shining in my head,
Creatures slither and squirm around me,
Fins flicker,
Currents wash over me,
Fouls salty scents swirl around in the sea,
There I stand,
Cold and senseless,
Under the deep,
Seeking,
Watching,
Waiting.
