Victory

One rainy day, at the Nike Outlet,
I was in need for a new pair.
After a few minutes, I spotted it,
My first sight of Victory

I was thinking, they will never fit,
Until, I tried and they were the perfect fit!
I was thinking, they will be overpriced,
Until, I observed and they were half price!

We went to the counter
As she scanned my Victory,
She dropped them in the bag
And of I went with my Victory.

The day of my first game,
They came on like a sock.
At the end of the game,
Victory was at everyone's feet.

They smell like a sock,
But sound like a dream.
They feel like rubber,
But taste like Victory.
