Culture Mix Spoken Word Showcase

We’ve teamed up with Wollongong City Council's new contemporary multicultural festival, Culture Mix, to celebrate Wollongong’s diverse community across art forms from around the world.

Red Room has commissioned four local poets to write an original poem themed to the Culture Mix Festival, and we have also co-curated a free Spoken Word Showcase at Wollongong Town Hall’s Music Lounge as part of the Culture Mix Festival program featuring Nicole Smede, Joseph (Butch) Scharwzkopf Jr., Ali Whitelock, Lillian Rodrigues-Pang, Mohammad Awad, Lajos Hamers, Tegan Leigh and hosted by Kween G.
