Poetry Month X This Fresh Hell - Feminist Poetics

This August, Cairns Art Gallery invites six feminist poets from around Australia, to recite their work for Poetry Month. Come hear them respond to the theme: “Be Brave” at this special event held in conjunction with Red Room Poetry and This Fresh Hell.

Featuring the words of Amanda Anastasi (Poet and Curator, published in Best of Australian Poetry, Australian Poetry Journal and others), Thuy On (Arts Journalist, Editor, Critic and Poet with four poetry collections under her belt), Vasilka Pateras (Co-Editor, published in Cordite, Mascara Lit, Hecate and others), Leila Lois (Writer & Dancer, published in LA Review of Books, Cordite, Honey Literary Journal and others), Eileen Rafter (Emerging Poet, Advocate and local Health Professional, published soon by Tea Towel Publishing), and Maja Amanita (Poet, Advocate, Spoken Word Artist, published in Meanjin, Antithesis and others).
