Workshop: Writing Poetry with Hasib Hourani and Bilal Hafda

Bankstown Poetry Slam and Red Room Poetry are teaming up to present a free workshop for Poetry Month, facilitated by the award-winning poet Hasib Hourani (rock flight) and BPS Artistic Director and poet Bilal Hafda (An Army of Light).

Hasib and Bilal will guide you through the tips and tricks of the writing process that will help take your work from the seed of an idea into a fully grown and realised spoken-word poetry piece, ready to be shared on stage. Old and new work is welcome. Come with a poem you’ve already written, or join and write something brand new.

Open to writers of all ages, levels and experiences.

Spaces are limited and registration is essential (bookings open mid-July via the Bankstown Poetry Slam website).
